One week ago today, Fox debuted its highly-anticipatedThe X-Fileswith the first episode in this six-episodeevent series, before it settled into its new time slot on Monday nights at 8 PM. Two of the new characters we haven’t met quite yet areRobbie Amell’s Agent Miller andLauren Ambrose’s Agent Einstein, who will debut in the fifth episodeBabylon, airing on February 15. Today,Entertainment Weeklyhas the first photo of these new characters before they arrive on the hit show.
TheBabylonepisode centers onMulderandScullywho attempt to communicate with the comatose bomber of an art gallery. The younger FBI agents push them to examine their own beliefs. We reported in November that an X-Files spinoff may be happening that focuses on Agent Miller and Agent Einstein, but that news was never confirmed by Fox. If these characters prove to be popular with fans when they debut next month, aspinoffcertainly wouldn’t be out of the question.

This event series marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winningpop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history.The X-Filesdebuts with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, Jun 09, 2025 (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT), following the NFC Championship Game, and continuing with its time period premiere on Monday, Jan. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). The series will only run six episodes, but starDavid Duchovnyhas said in the past that he would be open to returning for another short season like this one in the future.
