We also find out more about a new playable character Rivet, who comes from an alternate dimension. Hopefully, we get a new game as Rivet as the protagonist one day.

Astro Bot surprised many and won Game of the Year in 2024 from many outlets, includingThe Game Awards. It’s a love letter to PlayStation fans as you save heroes and villains from the history of the platform. The levels themselves, however, are the main event. You’re given different gadgets to explore each well-crafted level, such as the Time Stopper, which slows down fast-moving objects in the air and lets you use them as platforms. One particular level that stands out is when Astro Bot has to turn into the size of a mouse and explore the level’s smaller sections; it really has a sense of scale. You never know what’s coming next in Astro Bot and it’s a triumph from beginning to end. It also features pretty visuals and utilizes all of the DualSense’s functionality, adding to the experience.
