Having started the franchise back in 2001,Fast & Furioussaw a multitude of directors taking and changing things their way. Louis Leterrier is the most recent in line to direct the Vin Diesel-ledFast Xafter the previous director Justin Lin got up and left the franchise.

After what seemed like a surprising turn of events, Louis Leterrier had no choice but to take on the role of the director while handling Dominic Toretto’s crew. In the process of hyping up action scenes, however, Leterrier found himself getting trolled by the people due to the absurdity of it all.
Vin Diesel Roamed Around With Bomb in Rome ForFast X
What originally was a hyping-up interview for the director turned into a backlash post for the people. Talking about the action scenes the movie will entail, Louis Leterrier stated that he wanted to do what no one had done before. No one would have thought, however, that the crew will drag around a one-ton bomb on the streets of Rome.

As can be seen in the trailer, the cars seemed to be dragging a metal ball on the streets much similar to the heist of the vault inFast Five. Here’s whatLouis Leterrierhad to say about the metal ball which was essentially…a one-ton bomb.
“I wanted to–no pun intended—land it back on Earth. They went into pace in number nine, and I was like, ‘okay, they went to space, there’s no way I can top that.’ But what I can do is do stuff that we’ve never done before practically, such as rolling a one-ton bomb—an actual one-ton metal ball in the streets of Rome, and hope not to destroy the Colosseum.”

With a Twitter post of the above-said statements, the people were quick to troll the director. With repetitive themes featured in the movie, people had enough of the franchise. Hoping thatFast Xwill make things for the better, people trolled the director for some harmless fun before release.

Hopefully he avoided killing any pigeons in Italy like Michael Bay supposedly did.

With a genuine attempt to reconstruct and redesign the story towards racing, the people await what Louis Leterrier has in store for theFast & Furiousfranchise.Vin Dieselwill once again be the family-saving, wrench-hitting Dominic Toretto that the people have known and loved for all the years. The newest addition on set was Jason Momoa’s antagonistic character and Vin Diesel and Momoa were completely opposite in nature.

The previous mega actors had lots of trouble working together on the sets ofThe Fate of the Furious. It is no secret that Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel did not like each other and the friendship clearly ended after the 8th part of the franchise was released. Talking about Vin Diesel andJason Momoa, director Louis Leterrier stated that the two actors are stellar opposites of each other.
“On set, it felt this way. The Vin energy was calm and collected, almost zen-like, and Jason was just like rock & roll, an electric bass that’s slapping. There was always music coming out of the Jason camp.”
The director further talked that he wanted an antagonist that was into cars since the franchise hadn’t seen one for quite a long time.
“What was really important for me was to bring it back to the car. This franchise is all about cars, but we hadn’t seen a driver antagonist for a long time. He’s a driver—he grew up driving, being obsessed with Dom Toretto and tried to become him.”
With a promise of making the film more grounded in reality,Fast Xcould potentially re-create the essence of the earlier parts that were purely about racing and adrenaline. With most of the crew reprising their respective roles,Fast Xis slated for a release date of 19th May 2023 to be released theatrically across the U.S.
