User KyoKat, running the game on an RTX 4060Ti, suggestsmemory leaks may be at fault as the game maxes out VRAM usage on the Very High preset without ray-tracing. They recommend sticking to the High preset for now and changing settings before opening the game as a way to possibly prevent crashes.
For handheld players,Spider-Man 2is not Steam Deck Verified, but user Adravil saysthe game can run at a “mostly stable 800p30” when using upscalers, provided you are on the lowest graphics settings.
The response from Nixxes has been limited so far. The studio points to its standard troubleshooting guides and requests users to contact them with logs and crash dumps if the problems persist, which is exactly the case for many players.
The problems do not seem to be universal, with plenty of Steam users mentioning playing and even completing the game, sothe hope is that others can partake in the fun as well once a stability patch is deployed.
