Weapon durability makes a return inThe Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, much to the chagrin of fans of the original. After a few swings of a weapon, it will inevitably break, removing the item from a player’s inventory. This means players will need to find a new weapon, but there are many areas tofind the best weapons in TOTK. However, the new ability to fuse items onto weapons adds extra durability, thus increasing their lifespan.

While there isno direct way to repair weaponsin the game, such as going to an NPC in a nearby town, or with a repairing tool, players can make use of a specific enemy to repair a weapon.

There is one trick to repairing weapons in TOTK, and that is by making use of an Octorok enemy that sucks in the player’s weapon. This enemy will then spit out the weapon with a full durability remaining. This can only be done once per enemy, however, so ensure to only use it on weapons of really high damage value and durability so that you don’t have to come back and do it again often.
