MultiVersusis a crossover platform fighter featuring characters and settings that span a wide range of Warner Bros.-owned IP, fromGame of ThronestoJustice League. Although the characters themselves are massively important to any matchup, the arena they fight on is just as essential to master. Most arenas inMultiVersuscontain specific hazards or quirks that are important to learn before jumping in.
There are ten total stages inMultiVersuswhere players can compete inlocal or online multiplayer. Whenever jumping into either the 1v1 or 2v2 game mode, this stage is randomly selected. In the PvE Rift game mode, you’re able to predict the stage based on the opponent, but it is still best to familiarize yourself with all potential stages and platforms. All maps have specific hazards that can ultimately be just as dangerous as any player ability.

How To Play Local Multiplayer In MultiVersus
MultiVersus is the newest platform fighting game, pitting Warner Bros. characters against each other in single player, local co-op, or online PvP.
A one-tiered map with two bouncing side branches and platforms.

Tree Fort 2
A one-tier platform at night with slightly lowered platforms and branches.
Tree Fort is a map fromAdventure Time, a property with three characters, including Jake, Finn, andthe Banana Guard. The central hazard in this game are two branches on either end of the upper level. These branches can act as trampolines, used to either jump off of or to bounce off enemies for a potential ring out.

All branches can be destroyed with three strikes and will only respawn in between rounds.
9Batcave
The Batcave is a straightforward arena with minial hazards.
The Batcave is Batman’s home base, and one of various maps with no change between the 1v1 and 2v2 game modes. The center of the map features a small platform, with two Batmobiles acting as additional platforms on either side. The two Batmobiles can be used to ricochet enemies off of, but are also destroyed if struck enough times.
Watch the Batcomputer behind the stage for information on whenever one of the two environmental hazards will appear.

8Dexter’s Laboratory
Dexter’s Laboratory is the most dynamic, moving map in MultiVersus
Although the kid scientist himself is not in the game yet, Dexter’s Laboratory is a stage from the Cartoon Network show of the same name. The 2v2 version features three platforms, butpressing the green button will cause the screen to begin slowly moving left to reveal infinite, procedurally generated obstacles.
7The City Of Townsville
Expect constant disruptions from the flying villain, Mojo Jojo.
The City of Townsville is one of several new maps released alongside the full launch ofMultiVersus.Mojo Jojo will show up frequently throughout the fight, causing disruptions from his ship.If you strike Mojo Jojo’s UFO, it will crash and destroy one-third of the stage, but it will eventually return.
It is best to leave Mojo Jojo’s ship untouched for the initial portions of this stage. Especially in 2v2s, this map can get very chaotic whenever the stage is reduced to its final third.

6Throne Room
The Red Keep is an almost constantly shifting arena.
Home to the iconic Iron Throne fromGame of Thrones, this arena is found within the Red Keep. The arena begins with a long central arena with two large walls on either end, temporarily preventing any side eliminations.
5The Court
Bounce the basketball and enemies off the wall to earn ring-outs.
The Court is an arena fromSpace Jam: A New Legacywith various quirks. The Court does not work like a traditional stage, as two walls on either side need to be broken before players can earn ring-outs.
4Scooby’s Haunted Mansion
Keep an eye on the ground to avoid this arena’s pitfalls.
Scooby’s Haunted Mansion comes in two variants: roofed and roofless. The roof removes the possibility of vertical ringouts while inside, but all the same hazards are still present. The floor of this arena is divided into five equal platforms. If players manage to strike the levers on either side, the second and fourth sections of the floor will plummet and create large gaps in the arena.
3Cromulons
Use the massive speakers in this arena to your advantage.
Home of the famous Show Me What You Got episode fromRick & Morty, the Cromulons arena returns to the full release ofMultiVersusahead of season 1. The only dynamic feature in this map are the two large speakers on either side of the central platform, which can be destroyed after several hits. There is also a hovering platform in the center that players can jump onto.
It’s important to master your character’s recovery on this stage, especially on the smaller 1v1 version. It is important to note that you cannot go underneath the stage.

Sky Arena Platforms 1v1
A small horizontal arena with three floating platforms.
The Sky Arena is one of the most varied maps inMultiVersus, also the changes are fairly miniscule. Sky Arena and Sky Arena Platforms, built for 2v2 gameplay, are very similar, but the platform versions contain three floating ledges that players can stand on.
