Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vaulthas unveiled a new trailer for the action RPG roguelike, which was announced last December forPC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The game is expected to launch later this year.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Gameplay
The development team promises new mechanics, an expanded arsenal, more gear, and new biomes filled with treasures and enemies to defeat. Players will uncover a fresh story featuring Will and his friends, who are stranded in the village of Tresna, trapped in a dimension far from home. The only way back is by mastering both trade and combat.
One of the biggest changes in this sequel is the shift to 3D graphics. Digital Sun highlights deeper roguelike mechanics and new locations designed to “surpass its predecessor without losing its charm.” Some of the unique environments include a hostile desert dimension, a mysterious museum, and a battlefield frozen in time.

“Each region introduces exclusive enemies, relics, upgrades, and challenges that impact inventory management and combat strategies.”
The Leap to 3D Graphics
Moving from pixel art to 3D is a major transformation, but the studio is pleased with the positive response from players. The new art style allows for more detailed environments, improved combat, and a fresh visual take on the game’s world.
The soundtrack forMoonlighter 2is composed byChristopher Larkin, known for his work onHollow Knight.
