In 2016, whenSylvester Stallonewon theGolden Globefor best-supporting actor, he forgot to includeMichael B. Jordanand director Ryan Coogler in his speech. Many people were offended by the fact that theRamboactor forgot to mention two significant people who were a big part of the movie.

Jackson right after seeing Sly’s speech Tweeted regarding, the 76-year-old actor’s statement at the award ceremony. Not just thePulp Fictionactor but Ava DuVernay also called out Stallone for not mentioning Coogler and Jordan during his speech. Soon, Stallone realized his mistake and took it to his social media to thank his co-star and director of the movieCreed.TheRocky IIactor mentioned that he foolishly forgot to mention his director and the 36-year-old actor.

Sylvester Stallone says he agreed when Samuel L. Jackson called him out
During an interview, theOver The Topactor discussed how he felt when Jackson called him out for his speech at theGolden Globe.The actor said,
“When Sam Jackson called me out on it, I totally agreed. Forgetting to thank the director? Believe me. That’s the last thing I would’ve done.”
Stallone was also nominated for the best supporting actor Oscar in 2016 for his movieCreed.When theCreed IIactor talked about his nomination he was full of praises for his director Coogler. While talking about the 37-year-old director, theCop Landactor said,
“This guy here deserved it before I deserved it — this is his baby, and I just hung on for dear life. When he brought ‘Creed’ to life, he brought me to life.”
