The first chapter ofLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealthsees Ichiban and Saeko going on a romantic date, but Ichiban and the boys don’t have the slightest idea of how to impress a woman. It’s up to you to choose the best date options, but do the choices even matter?

Ultimately, your choices for the date with Sa-chan won’t affect the story or anything like that. The outcome of the date will always remain the same regardless of what you choose, but Ichiban’s personality stats will increase in different ways depending on what you go with. Personality stats are important for unlocking new Jobs and improving Ichiban’s skills, so the date is a great way to get a headstart on his development.

The second major choice is where to eat during the date. Nanba will suggest that yougo for the usual beef bowlwhile Adachi will recommend that yoube brave and eat spice level 100 curryto impress Sa-chan. Choosing the beef bowl will net you 30 Confidence points. Choosing the spicy curry will get you 30 Passion points. Neither option affects the date since Ichiban will find a different place for the pair to visit.

The final choice with Nanba and Adachi is what Ichiban should wear for the date. Nanba suggests that yougo for the organic lookand Adachi recommends that yougo for some razzle-dazzle. Going with the organic look will get you 30 Intellect points, while opting for some razzle-dazzle will get you 30 Style points. This choice affects the date since Ichiban will wear whatever you choose, but it doesn’t affect the outcome since Saeko will like either outfit.

Saeko Date Choices

Once the date begins, there are even more decisions to make. The first choice pops up when Saeko mentions a nearby hotel. You canbe like Nanba and tell her how you feelorbe like Adachi and play it cool. The first choice gets you 30 Charisma points, while the second option gets you 30 Passion points. There’s no wrong answer here since Saeko won’t get upset regardless of what you pick.

Later on, you’re given the choice to eithertalk about Nanbaortalk about Adachi. Discussing Nanba gets you 30 Charisma points. Talking about Adachi gets you 30 Kindness points. Either option is fine since it doesn’t affect the outcome of the date.

Once Ichiban and Saeko reach the restaurant, you’ll have to cover for her since she has trouble reading the menu. You can eitherbe like Nanba and just move onorbe like Adachi and cover for her. Choosing to be like Nanba gets you 30 Charisma points, and you can get 30 Confidence points by choosing to be like Adachi. Neither Saeko nor the chef will get upset with either choice, so just choose whichever one raises your preferred stat.

For the final part of the date, you’ll have to pretend to be Saeko’s boyfriend to protect her from some cabaret club creeps. If you choose to bea guy like Nanba, you’ll get 30 Kindness points for being so down to earth. If you choose to bea guy like Adachi, you’ll gain 30 Intellect points for being cool and stylish. Again, this choice doesn’t change anything and you’ll end up in a fight no matter what you pick.

While it may seem like you can alter the course of the date and improve Ichiban and Sa-chan’s relationship based on your choices, the end result is always the same and the main story continues as planned no matter how things go. This date is just a tutorial for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s personality system. Dialogue choices don’t affect anything in Infinite Wealth, but responding in certain ways will improve Ichiban’s personality stats and bring you closer tounlocking new Jobsand other things.
