Dead By Daylightis still going strong after all these years with new killers and survivors joining the game regularly. Everyone’s favorite fictional troubled author Alan Wake is on the way to Dead by Daylight, and you can test him out sooner than you think.
Alan Wake joins the Dead by Daylight roster onJanuary 30. Like most other DLC survivors,he’ll cost $10on all platforms. If you’re a PC Dead by Daylight player, then you may test out Alan Wake alongside a suite of other tweaks and changes on the Public Test Build ahead of launch. There, you can play as Alan Wake before anyone else can.
Alan Wake’s perks make use of his iconic flashlight to help him survive the fog. His first perk,Champion of Light, grants him increased movement speed when holding a flashlight and lets him hinder killers and slow them down when he blinds them. He can also create aBoon Totemthat lets fellow survivors see generators and chests across the map. When things get really dire, his final perk,Deadline, increases the frequency of skill checks and reduces the penalty for failing them.
While his kit might not be as exciting as other survivors’,Alan Wake is already proving to be one of the more popular survivors that the game has seen. Ilkka Villi’s likeness and Matthew Porretta’s voice were used for Alan Wake’s appearance in Dead by Daylight, too, so fans of the game will find an authentic recreation of their favorite author when they boot up the game.
Dead by Daylight continues to surprise with crossover killers and survivors coming faster than anyone expects. The game is already home to countless killers from the horror Hall of Fame likeChucky, Freddy Kreuger, and Leatherface, and there are also incredibly inventive original designs for killers and survivors alike.
