One of the Fortnite quests this week requires you to travel a distance while flying with Wings of Icarus. Therefore, I’ve compiled this comprehensive guide for those of you having difficulty finding and using the Wings of Icarus.
How to fly with Wings of Icarus and travel distance in Fortnite (Controls)
As the name suggests, Wings of Icarus grants you the ability to fly across the entire Fortnite map. To use it, simply equip the Wings from your inventory by pressing the respective number and theLeft click on your mouseto activate them. Then, you can use the following controls to perform more actions and fly further:
A fresh Wings of Icarushas a charge of 300 secondsand doesn’t recharge over time. Once you travel with these wings, the challenge will be marked as completed and you’ll get 10,000 XP for your efforts.
In the meantime, if an opponent player manages to shoot you, your character will tumble to the ground and you’ll need to activate your wings again.
Where to find Wings of Icarus in Fortnite (Map Location)
Wings of Icarus is an Epic Rarity item that can easily be foundinside Underworld/ Olympus Chests, as a part of the floor loot andcan be purchased fromcertain NPCs (Skye and Marigold).Although it’s a purple rarity item, I never faced any extraordinary challenges while finding these wings in Fortnite. However, I strongly recommend dropping at new POIs like The Underworld and Mount Olympus where you’ll find a ton of special chests.
You have a higher chance offinding Wings of Icarusin these chests than in the normal ones that pop up all over the Fortnite island. But beware: these POIs are very popular this season and you’ll run into many opponents who want to eliminate you, so make sure you have enough gear before you hunt for the Wings of Icarus.
