Finding Virtex Processors is one of the most annoying things inEscape from Tarkovif you are going for KAPPA during the wipe. They are unbelievably hard to find if you are not running specific maps. You can go at least 100 raids without finding one, but here is the best strategy to find Virtex Processors in Escape from Tarkov.
Best Way to Find Virtex Programmable Processors in Escape from Tarkov
The best way to find Virtex Processors is by running Lighthouse. While it has a few spawns in Reserve and the Labs, Lighthouse has too many spawns to pass up. Here are all the spawns on Lighthouse you should look out for, and wether you need a key.
While there are several spots to memorize, you can start by going through the WTP (Water Treatment Plant). More than half the spawns are inside the WTP, particularly warehouses 1 and 2. However, you do need to clear out the Rogues before going inside.

There are several ways to approach the WTP. You can go to the abandoned village side and start clearing from warehouses 3, 2, and 1. You can also start by the main road and get rid of the GL Rogue by the main entrance and the mounted LMG Rogue on warehouse 1 overlooking the main entrance.
This is much easier at night since the Rogues have reduced range or vision. In the daytime, they will obliterate you with one wrong move. However, you must add some NVGs, which is an added cost since you should use a GPNVG (around 120,000 Roubles or more).

If you spawn far away from WTP, you should go to Chalet and try to loot the area. Once finished, you can extract to Path to Shoreline. If you are late to the WTP, players have likely looted the spots, and it is not worth it anymore.
If you spawn by the shore, you’re able to loot Merin and focus on getting warehouse 1 and getting out. You’ll have Northern Checkpoint as an extraction, and those who will be earlier than you will need to take Path to Shoreline or V-Ex, which is relatively safe for you. However, if you are by the shore but near the Southern Road extraction, you can either just extract and restart or push Chalet, which doesn’t make sense if you want a Virtex Processor since the closest spawn always rushes to loot the area.

You can see why Lighthouse is a poorly-designed map and most content creators avoid it. There are around three unlucky spawns (Southern Road, shore by the Scav House, and by the shore across the resort), which puts them at a huge disadvantage wherever they choose to go.
If you are confident in running The Labs, it is also a good place to make money, but there’s only one Virtex spawn by the center next to the robotic arm and table where streamer items usually spawn.

Reserve has a few spawns, and you’ll need RB-VO, RB-BK, RB-AK (or just drop down from the third-floor window), and RB-ST keys to find the other spawns. Some Virtex spawns are also in the server room by the White King building and D2 tunnel.
The main problem in running Reserve is that it is extremely difficult to extract unless you don’t bring a bag or you have a Red Rebel. D2 and the Hermetic Bunker Door are two of the most dangerous extractions. The community loves to camp and “rat” D2, while the Hermetic Bunker Door is too dangerous to activate.

What Are Virtex Programmable Processors Used For in Escape from Tarkov
The Virtex Programmable Processor is mainly used to finish Lend-Lease Part 2 from Peacekeeper. You need two to finish the quest. It unlocks the Peacekeeping Mission task that is needed for KAPPA afterward. Most players don’t bother finishing these quests if they aren’t going for KAPPA, but it is still nice to finish for some experience points.
Apart from Lend-Lease Part 2, you also need five Virtex Programmable Processors to finish Special Equipment. This task isn’t needed for KAPPA, and it is an extremely high-level quest that only 0.1% of the players reach anyway. It unlocks a THICC Items Case barter with Peacekeeper.
It is worth noting that the Virtex also has barters and crafts. you’re able to craft one Virtex using 1x Advanced Electronic Materials Textbook, 1x Leatherman Multitool, 2x Military Circuit Board, 2x CPU, and 5x Capacitors. After finishing Lightkeeper’s Information Source task, the recipe unlocks, crafted in the Intelligence Center level 2.
As for barters, you need three for a Secure Container Beta (3×2) from Peacekeeper, two for a modded AK-104 T-SAW from Mechanic, a whopping 16 for an Advanced Current Converter from Mechanic (Trouble in the Big City Lightkeeper task), and three for a Microcontroller Board from Mechanic (MIssing Informant Lightkeeper Task).
All of these are mostly unnecessary. If you only have the base edition of the game, the Secure Container Beta is something you should aim towards. The Microcontroller Board is needed tocraft an LEDX, but it alsouses a GPU, 5x GPhone X, and 5x VPX Modules, which makes it extremely expensive.
