Tears of the Kingdom– how to find the eerie voice
When you visitHighland Stablein southernFaron, you can talk toPenn. He will be standing near the entrance, if you have started thePotential Princess Sightings!side quest that allows you toobtain the Froggy armor set. Talk to him and he tells you about recent area residents who have heard an eerie voice emanating from a nearby well. This discussion activates a new side quest,An Eerie Voice.
To find the eerie voice and clear the related side quest, An Eerie Voice, locate the well and find the source of the voice. There are a few simple steps you may follow to make this process easy.

You can initially meet with Penn at any time of the day. I met him in broad daylight. Once he gives you the mission, he suggests that the two of you investigate at night. If you are talking to him during the day, simply walk over to the nearby campfire. You can sit by it to progress time toNight.
Next, talk to Penn again. He will ask if you are ready. Agree that you are. There’s no prep work required, since you shouldn’t have to fight any enemies.

You will appear onFural Plain, which is across the road, just to the northwest ofHighland Stable. Talk to Penn and you will hear the singing voice. You can follow it from there. If you have your volume turned up, you can hear the singing voice as you wander the area.It gets louder as you head toward the south portion of the plain, just north ofHaran Lake.
When you get very near to the source of the voice, you will find theHaran Lakefront Well. See the above screenshot for its precise location. Simply drop into the well to meet withSagessa, who explains the mystery for you. Then you will return above ground to talk to Penn and complete the side quest.
