If you’re new to theDiabloseries, this mechanic may confuse you. However, if you’re like me and playedDiablo 3, you should already be used to this. Regardless if you’re new or old, this guide can act as a refresher for some. Seasonal Characters aren’t new to the series, they appeared in the last game. This system made players try new characters new each season. It added more life to the game post-campaign. For the first season ofDiabloand the rest of the ones that come after, you’ll be able to create a Seasonal Character that you’re able to use throughout the seasons. So to get started on yourSeasonal Journeyread this guide on how to create a Seasonal Character inDiablo 4.

Diablo: 4: How to create a Seasonal Character

When I first launched into the game, I didn’t notice the option to create a seasonal hero. InDiablo 3the choice was very much apparent, but this time around it seems to be tucked away.

The first thing to do iscreate a new character. Pick a class, gender, and then customize the character to what you want.

Diablo 4 Character Selection Screen

After that, you’ll go into a new menu which will give you the option to start anew Seasonal Characteron either theseasonal realm or the eternal realminDiablo 4. To play the season, select the season option. You can also choose the skip the campaign, and you can opt to playon hardcore. However, both of these optionsare permanent. Once you pick them, you can’t go back.

Note: Make sure you’vebeaten the main story ofDiablo 4, otherwise the option won’t show up.

What happens after each season

At the end of every season, your character gets automatically deleted no matter what. This was exactly how it played out inDiablo 3, so expect the same in entry number 4. Working hard on your character just to get it deleted may seem like a turn-off, but it adds longevity. Each season you try something new, this wayDiablo 4can feel fresh every season you play.
