Should You Side With Sir Galahad or The Keepers in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
What happens when you choose who to side with in Act 1? Here’s what we know.
Accepting the Quest
The quest giver is Betrys. She can be found at the end of the city near the docks in the poorer section. She is located in front of the small jail, which somewhat alludes to her questline given someone is currently occupying it.
You will likely be tracking Betrys down already through the A Carnation to Remember questline that has you locating and finding the young lady to deliver flowers from Keeper Dicun. Talking with her, she will explain that her husband, Col, has been locked away because his mind isn’t exactly what it once was. He has become basically a shell of a man, along with a number of other individuals in the small settlement. At a nearby camp, everyone had the same strange dream, and then they unfortunately went into their current state. You will have to go down to the campsite and find out what went wrong.

Going Camping
The camp where the group of infected individuals stayed is located northeast of the city, behind the ominous-looking structure. There will be a single Corpse Eater hanging around the camp from time to time, which should be no match for you at even the lowest level.
Once you’ve reached the camp, all you need to do is sleep. Do not bring up your bonfire and rest that way, but instead find a little sleeping bag in the middle of the camp and interact with it. Upon doing so, you will be transported to a new realm.
From here, you will need to follow the fairly guided pathway along the cliffside into a cave. Go down the slope to the bottom of the cave until you find a mysterious figure called Abhartach. He is craving blood, pleading to allow him to bite you. From here, you are given two choices:
If you choose the first option, as you warn him, the blood won’t take, and he will instantly die. If you decide to decline his request, he will become enraged and attack you. The outcome is the same as Abhartach will die by your hands, it’s just the second option that requires a little extra work. If you do wish to fight him, he’s incredibly weak; every attack he performs will drain all of his stamina and then fall to his knees for a couple of seconds. Afterward, head through the back entrance of the cave to exit the dream.

Breaking the News
Head back to Betrys via teleportation device to the southeast of the camp. She will be in the small village up the hill where she will inform you that everyone who saw the dream and turned into mindless husks are back to their old selves.
Unfortunately, Col is the only one that remains the same as before. There will be various options you’re able to take, requiring either Strength, Spirituality or Practicality to achieve the same outcome: putting Col out of his misery. If you fail this check or just wish Betrys, the quest will end. If you succeed, you will need to go into Col’s house and kill him, preferably at night, so no one sees you. You will obtain a little more XP for this, along with Betrys will thank you and leave the city.
