Avowed: Food Theft Quest Guide
It’s a hard life in the Living Lands where food is scarce yet everyone needs to eat.
Accepting the Quest
You can do this quest in reverse, but the correct way to complete this quest is to start in Thirdborn. In the residential district of the city, on the eastern side, there will be a young Aumaua with a hat (one of the few to wear a headpiece) calling your name when you approach. If you have Kai in your party, he will immediately recognize the kid as Chiko.
He will say that the renowned the famous Keipo for a while as he refused to leave his house, and he hopes that you will talk to him about it. Head up the flight of stairs beside Chiko into the house at the end of the way to find Keipo sitting at his window reminiscing about the old days.

Keipo will mention that he’s dying, so there’s not much reason to leave his house anymore, but he does want one thing before he goes: a relic that he placed in a set of ruins. The Heart of the Leviathan is the… well, heart of the giant fish portrayed in the town’s square. Keipo didn’t trust anyone around him and devised a number of dexterous traps to protect his most prized item.
Bobby Trapped Ruins
The ruins are located on the eastern side of the map, which is surrounded by undead soldiers. Thankfully, because of how they’re spread out, you’re able to run past them fairly easily if you don’t want to engage with them. You’ll be able to drop into a small structure and unlock the barred door before continuing into the ruins themselves.
Once you’re in, there will be a lever that you’re told not to pull. If you do, then a trap will be initiated, and you’ll take a little bit of damage. A little comedic flair right at the beginning. Head down the elevator by pulling the lever next to it and then charge a device on the floor below past a breakable wall.

This will open the surrounding doorways, unleashing deadly skeletons and spiders. Instead, jump back up, and you will find that three traps will also be triggered, sending three rolling pin-like contraptions down for you to jump across. Carefully jump across until you’re on the other side. It will require a little bit of a leap of faith and carefully timed jumps.
The next rooms will be filled with bladed traps along with a purple glowing chest in the middle. This is fairly easy to avoid, and even if you’re hit by a blade, it doesn’t do a lot of damage. More than anything, you should be disarming the booby-trapped wires as they will do a lot more damage. Grab theExceptional Bowfrom one of the bodies and material-filled chest.

The next room is massive and filled with skeletons. To avoid combat all together, head up the ladder to the right and continue through the ruined structures until you have to jump across a pool of water. You will be able to move upward to a locked door if you have the key, but where you need to go is to the left because behind the door is just fire traps.
This is the last room you need to worry about. There will be anElder Grizzly Bear, which is the biggest threat in the entire ruins, and the guardian of the Leviathan Heart. Thankfully, it will immediately go into his little cave and fall asleep, so you’re able to sneak by it fairly easily. If you do want to try your hand at fighting it, there is a treasure chest in the back that you get as your reward.

To the right of the barred door will be a wheel that can be turned to open up the path, which makes not aggroing the bear somewhat crucial. Through the door you will be presented with the Leviathan Heart on a pedestal, and the door on the other side of the room will open for you, looping back to the entrance.
All you need to do now is return to Keipo. You are able to either hand over the Leviathan Heart, and he will give you his powerful spear weapon, or keep it for yourself and the heart becomes a vampiric trinket.
