After this update, a third of similar scale will be released later in 2025, expanding the story and several areas of the game.

The important takeaway is that this third update will arrive sometime in 2025, meaning there’s still a long road ahead before the game reaches version 1.0.

The studio has yet to announce an official release date or confirm the platforms it will launch on. However, a release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and possibly even the rumored Switch 2 is widely expected.

The Wait Will Be Worth It

Not only will the full version of Hades II deliver the complete experience, but it will also be the only way to access the game’s true ending.

In the meantime,Hades2has already made a splash, earning nominations at the Steam Awards for Best Game on Steam Deck and Outstanding Visual Style. The awards ultimately went to God of War: Ragnarok and the Silent Hill 2 Remake, respectively.

Few games can claim the title of one of the best roguelikes without even being officially released. This success has madeHades 2a favorite among millions of users on Steam and Epic.
