This summer at Comic-Con, ABC and Marvel confirmed thatGhost Riderwill be coming toAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.Season 4. If you don’t want to wait for the Season 4 premiere on Tuesday, September 20, the Ghost Rider is teased in a new trailer for this highly-anticipated season. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see Robbie Reyes himself yet, but we do get to see his fiery car.
Last week, we got our first look atGabriel Lunaas Robbie Reyes, with producerJed Whedonrevealing that Robbie Reyes will be a kid from East Los Angeles, like in the comics. The introduction of this character comes a few years afterMarvelgot the rights back to the Ghost Rider character, along with Blade and The Punisher. The Punisher already debuted in Season 2 ofDaredevilbut now Ghost Rider is coming toAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as you can see in this brief trailer that surfaced onYouTube.
During the Season 3 finale ofAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson (Clark Gregg) revealed the organization had a new director. Last month, it was revealed just who is taking over his former position.Jason O’Marahas joined the series stepping into the role as S.H.I.E.L.D’s new Director, playing a character whose Marvel roots go back to the 1940s. The exact character hasn’t been revealed yet, but we’ll most likely learn his identity during the season premiere.
Marvel’sAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.is executive produced and co-created byJoss Whedon(Marvel’s The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Daredevil) also serve as Executive Producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios. The show wasrenewedfor Season 4 this past spring, although ABC did cancelAgent Carterwhile passing on anAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.spinoff.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.returns with itsSeason 4 premiereon Tuesday, September 20 in its new timeslot, 10:00 PM ET on ABC. We don’t know how much more footage with Ghost Rider will be revealed with the premiere arriving in just nine days.
