After you’ve completed a few quests in Vernworth at the beginning of Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll start to be followed by amysterious stranger and a quest calledThe Arisen’s Shadowwill be added to your journal.

Just like most quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the gamedoesn’t hold your handfor this one. All it tells you is that there’s ahooded manstalking you through the streets of Vernwroth and that you need to make contact with him. Finding the man and figuring out how to get close to him is all up to you, though.

Where is the Mysterious Stranger in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

The mysterious stranger stalking you in Vernworth is a hoodedthiefnamedBermudo. He wears agray hood with a blue cloak. If you keep the camera pointed behind you as you travel through the city, you’re bound to spot him. He tries to hide among crowds and won’t make himself too visible, though, so walk slowly and keep an eye out.

How to Confront the Mysterious Stranger

Once you’ve spotted Bermudo,don’t try to talk to him. If you approach him, he’ll take off running. Give chase andtacklehimby pressing R2/RT on PlayStation/Xbox to confront him. This will pin him to the ground and force him to talk to you.

He’ll offer youcompensationif you let him go, but should you take it? The compensation in question is alump sum of gold, and the game makes you choose to eitheraccept or deny it. Regardless of which option you choose, there isn’t any gold waiting for you. Bermudo will draw a pair of knives andattack you no matter how you answer.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Bermudo Tackle Stranger

After defeating Bermudo,Brantwill arrive and have him taken away for interrogation. At this point, all you can do iswait a few daysfor Brant to get information out of Bermudo. There’s nothing left to this quest, so you can get started with the rest of the missions in your quest log and continue the main storyline if you want.
