Clair Obscur: Expedition 33has one of the most beautifully written stories of the year, but that doesn’t mean it’s without its own unique side quests. Throughout the lengthy adventure, you will encounter various NPCs in need of aid, some of which are unsuspecting Nevrons – your enemies. you may choose to help them, ignore them or attack them, but in the end, it will always be more beneficial to lend them your hand as they will reward you handsomely.

Should You Aid Demineur?
Demineur will be the second Nevron you encounter that isn’t immediately hostile to you. In fact, seeing him from a distance, we ran up to him and immediately smashed on the attack button. While he’s usually floating with an underwater mine attached to his side, that doesn’t mean he’s a threat, at least not yet. As you might imagine, the lack of an underwater mine is what’s missing in this quest, and talking to him will reveal little.
Unfortunately for our friend here, he’s a bit of a mute. He will simply give you a “…” response every time you examine him, although you are able to attack him immediately if you’re feeling a little violent in nature. Regardless, it’s time to go on a treasure hunt for him to find his missing item and get rewarded in the process.
Where to Find Demineur’s Mine
Fortunately for our friend Demineur, his lost mine isn’t too far off from where he is located. If he simply moved from his spot, he would probably find it on his own, but he has left it up to us to complete this mission.
From where Demineur is located, immediately go to the right. You will notice various underwater mines sprawled across the background, but thankfully they cause you no harm. There is immediately a way down from your platform on the right, and then a couple of circular platforms to the left. The path downward is primarily just used in case you fall, as your goal is to perform a little bit of platforming to get across.
Once you’ve made it across the three circular platforms, look to your right and hop across to the solid ground on the other side. There will be one more jump over here to another circular platform, and at the very end of the short path will be theIntact Mine. As you might imagine, this is what Demineur is looking for.
All you need to do now is head back to our little friend and give him theIntact Mine. Demineur will finally speak, if you can call it speech, and say “Uuuooooh-” and hand over a new powerful lightning-based weapon for Lune.
