Doctrines play a crucial role in your faction’s overall strength in Tempest Rising. They give you buffs in logistics, assault, and defensive aspects, allowing you to power up your army and take control of the battlefield.

I’ve spent plenty of hours in the game already, trying to suss out the most powerful Doctrines. I’ve been pretty successful, so here are the best Doctrines for the DYN faction in Tempest Rising.

Best Doctrines for the DYN Faction in Tempest Rising

Leading the Charge (last point in Aggression)

Vehicles:Boar, Harvester Wheel, MCV, Pillager, Porcupine, MLRS, Havoc, Salvage Van, Tempest Rig, Tempest Sphere, and Voltaic Tank.

Leading the Charge might be the last point in Aggression, but it is one of the strongest. Vehicles already have high health, and a 20% buff is massive. You will have to spend six points in Aggression to get it, though, so it does take some time.

Even light vehicles like the Havoc could tank way more shots. While six Doctrine Points are a lot to invest, the whole aggression tree is generally good, making Leading the Charge worth it.

Officers (5th point in Aggression)

Specialists:Commando, Machinist, Operative, Physicist, and Line Officer.

While this might be more of a personal preference, specialist units are already extremely powerful. Adding a 30% DPS increase to them is massive. Commandos could two-shot tanks instead of three. Line Officers could buff your infantry more frequently.

The cost generally helps at the start since Specialists are quite expensive.

Planned Economies (last point in Logistics)

As someone who loves to macro up or prepare for the long game with a huge army as fast as possible, adding bonuses to your economy will help. Planned Economies can boost your economy as if you have an additional Tempest Rig mining at full capacity.

However, it is also the last point in the Logistics tree, so you must allocate six Doctrine Points to get it.

Power Management (2nd point in Logistics)

Power Management might be the most overpowered doctrine here for its versatility and efficiency. It increases the effects of all plans by 30%, and here’s a look at the plans that it’ll buff:

Logistics Plan –Tempest Rigs and Harvesters move and harvest 20% faster. Construction Yards produce buildings 20% faster.

Martial Plan– All units gain 10% attack speed and 10% increased resistance against Rockets and Explosives. Tempest Dynamos ability enabled.

Security Plan– Unit and building cost reduced by 10%. Repair improved by 20%. Radar vision increased by 40%.

The Logistics Plan is an automatic lock for the early game, so you can immediately jumpstart your base and economy. You can even leave it there and get more income throughout the game.

If you get a massive army, you may switch to a Martial Plan and attack

Body Armor (1st point in Aggression)

Infantry:Assault Gunner, Commando, Demolitionist, Dynasty Guard, Ignitor, Line Officer, Missile Trooper, Operative, Physicist, Technician, and Machinist.

Body Armor is quite an underrated Doctrine since it only empowers infantry units. However, infantry units are some of the strongest assault units in the game. A specialist Commando with an increased 15% health is a massive buff since it would have more than 500 HP at this point.

Even Ignitors, who are mostly going to be your frontline units in battle, will benefit heavily from the increased health since they can survive way more hits.

Harvester Manufacturing (1st point in Logistics)

There’s nothing much to say about Harvester Manufacturing. It is the first point in Logistics, leading to better Doctrines on the list. However, the natural healing helps a lot, especially during the campaign, where random “small” attacks start attacking your Tempest Rigs and Harvesters. The health, regeneration, and rebuild speed buffs help more than you know when these things happen.
