Remedy Entertainment is thrivingin the gaming industry. In its latest financial report, the studio revealed a 128.6% increase in revenue. It also confirmed that Alan Wake 2 has already recouped most of its development and marketing costs, with 1.8 million copies sold.
The survival horror title has received two expansions—Night Springs and The Lake House—and a technical update optimized for the PS5 Pro. However, this optimization falls short of expectations.
While the game boasts spectacular technical details (not always noticeable on all screens), its performance on the PS5 Pro has been underwhelming, leaving players eager for a proper solution.
Remedy confirmed on social media that the latest patch does not improvePS5 Properformance. They also shared full patch notes and addressed player concerns:
“The PlayStation 5 (1.200.005) update does not include anything specific for the PS5 Pro, but we want to acknowledge that we are listening to your feedback. We are still investigating performance improvements for the Pro.
We will keep you updated. Since PS5 Pro support has been a months-long effort, implementing changes and improvements will take more time than just a few weeks. Thank you for your understanding.”

Alan Wake 2 is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, Remedy confirmed in its project updates that Control 2 will be an action RPG rather than an action-adventure title.
